The cartoons or Muhammad crisis began after Jyllands-Posten published 12 satirical cartoons on September 30, 2005, most of which depict Muhammad, a holy prophet in the religion of Islam. This led to a diplomatic crisis between Denmark and several Arab countries and led to a large trade boycott of Danish goods, the recall of ambassadors, assault on Arla employees, the burning of Dannebrog and the Danish embassies in Damascus and Beirut. A poll conducted at the end of January 2006 showed that 79% of Danes surveyed did not believe that Anders Fogh Rasmussen should apologize on behalf of Denmark, although 58% had an understanding of the Muslim dissatisfaction

The application was submitted through the Accès Maroc platform under the reference number ECU-M-2**********7 and is currently marked as “Refused”. I am an Ecuadorian citizen legally residing in Germany, holding a valid German residence permit. My intended travel to Morocco is for a short tourist stay. I would appreciate your guidance on the reason for the refusal and confirmation of the correct procedure to follow (AEVM or eVisa) in order to submit a new application in compliance with Moroccan entry requirements.
