Salem Aleikum, I am a writer now living in Spain and was trying to do some historical research re. the year 1984. At the time I was living at n° 49 Queen's Gate (which formed the corner with Queen's Gte Place. There was an Embassy on the opposite corner, from a small Middle-Eastern country, but I can't remember which one. I wonder if the Embassy of Morocco is situated in that building now and if so, if anyone at your embassy would know which was the previous country that had its embassy there. I know it's a long time ago, but maybe there might be some information in your archives. It's only a small detail, but I want to be as historically correct as possible, so if you could enlighten me, that would be wonderful. Shukran! With best regards, Joanna M.H. Dubois

I had a property in Morocco which has now been sold. I also had a bank account with BMCI which I used to transfer money from England where I live to Morocco to pay for the mortgage on the property. I would like to transfer the monies left in the account in Morocco to my bank account in England. The bank have asked me to complete a "Demande de decharge pour transmission d'instructions" so that an online transfer can be completed. The document has to be legalised at the Moroccan Embassay. It was a joint bank account so would both signatories on the account have to come to the Embassay to have the papers legalised or would one of the account holders be sufficient. Many thanks. Mark Travers. Tel: 07963451757

I have two questions - Do residents of British overseas territories need a Visa to visit Morocco? - I have a South African passport with indefinite leave to remain in the Isle of Man. The Isle of Man does not have a bio metric residents card but a stamp in my passport and a letter from the immigration department in the Isle of Man. Is this sufficient to apply for a Visa.
